Jada Pinkett Smith Speaks After Oscars Slap
Global News Reports That American actress, Jada Pinkett Smith has made comments after her husband, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock for making a joke at her expense on Sunday night, in the just concluded Oscars ceremony.
The incident which went viral across various media platforms also triggered a lot of comments and reaction on social media.
While comments were made, Mrs. Smith kept silent for a while, but later made reference to the Oscars incident on Tuesday, in a brief post to Instagram. She wrote, “This is a season for healing and I’m here for it”.
Despite her husband’s apology, with a lot of remorsefulness, tagging violence, “poisonous and destructive”, Will Smith was condemned by the awards organisers for hitting Rock.
Interestingly, Smith who won the Oscar for Best Actor, could not hold his grief when Rock made a joke of Pinkett Smith’s shaved head, which occurred as a result of her hair-loss condition, alopecia.
