Rivers Governor Wike Rejects Calls For Nigeria’s Break-Up

Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike has rejected calls for Nigeria’s break-up.

 

Globalnews international reports that the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has rejected the call for Nigeria’s break up by some individuals who have been working tirelessly to make it happen.

Wike revealed in a tweet that Rivers state will not be part of such calls and that the state is willing to give the police the support needed to overcome the challenges faced by the state.

It is worthy of note that in Nigeria at the moment, some individuals have started championing the course for the division of the country.

In the Eastern part, Nnamdi Kanu has started the process to ensure that Ndigbo separate from Nigeria and form the Biafra movement which will allow the Igbo group to be independent from Nigeria.

Also, Sunday Igboho has started the process in the South west to ensure the Yorubas break away from Nigeria to form Oduduwa nation, although this has been massively rejected by prominent individuals among the yorubas
